Who we are
This policy covers the Parletto managed service at app.parletto.com and this website, parletto.com. They are run by [Legal entity name], [postal address] ("we", "us").
Parletto is also open-source software under the MIT license. If you run Parletto on your own server, this policy does not apply to that installation. Whoever runs the server decides how its data is handled.
What we store
When you use the managed service, we store:
- Account data: your email address and the details you give us when you sign up or edit your profile.
- Organization data: the organizations you create or join, and who belongs to them.
- Messages: what you and your team post in Parletto.
- Uploads: files you or your team attach to messages.
We store this so the service can work: to sign you in, show your team its messages and files, and send you account email.
Where it is stored
- The managed service runs on one server at Hetzner in Ashburn, USA. Messages and account data are kept in a PostgreSQL database on that server.
- Uploaded files are stored in Cloudflare R2.
- Cloudflare sits in front of this website and the app. That means Cloudflare handles every request and sees request metadata such as your IP address.
If you are outside the USA, your data is transferred to and stored in the USA.
We only send transactional email: messages about signing up and about your account. We do not send marketing email.
Analytics and cookies on this website
This website, parletto.com, uses no third-party analytics and sets no tracking cookies.
Billing
The managed service is free during early access, so we collect no payment details today. Paid billing will come later through Stripe, and we will give notice before it starts and update this policy to say what Stripe receives.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. The only outside companies that handle it are the ones named above, because the service runs on them: Hetzner (the server and database), Cloudflare (uploaded files and traffic to the site and app), and, once billing starts, Stripe.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, organization, messages and uploads while your account or organization exists.
Deleting your data
To delete your account or your organization, email graf@grafficmedia.com. We will delete it within 30 days of your request.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
